New boilers in Chesterfield
A hillside market town of Victorian brick terraces and interwar semis below the crooked spire. Fifteen questions, ninety seconds, and a real number — fitted by our own Gas Safe engineers — as soon as the next working day, and usually inside a week.
Start with your postcode. Chesterfield is inside our area, so you will go straight through.
The housing here
Chesterfield is largely Victorian brick terraces close to the centre and around the former industrial areas, with interwar and post-war semi-detached estates on the higher ground at Newbold, Brampton and Walton, and newer development at Whittington Moor and Hasland.
The water here is hard — limestone country. Scale is the main thing that kills a combi's plate heat exchanger, and an in-line scale reducer at seventy-five pounds is the cheapest insurance you can buy on a boiler you want to keep for fifteen years.
What that means for your boiler
Not a template. This is drawn from what the housing stock here is actually made of.
The most straightforward stock we work in. The boiler is usually already in the kitchen on an outside wall, the flue run is under a metre, and a like-for-like combi swap is a comfortable single day. If there is still a cylinder in the airing cupboard, this is the housing type where converting to a combi pays off most obviously.
Bigger radiator circuits and more often two bathrooms, which is where combi sizing starts to matter. If both bathrooms genuinely get used at once, our quote will point you at a system boiler and a cylinder rather than sell you a large combi that will still disappoint you.
A boiler replacement does not normally need listed building consent, but a new flue penetration on a principal elevation can. We route flues to the least visible face as a matter of course, and if the only viable route is a front elevation we will say so before you order rather than after.
Two practical consequences. Exposed plots mean flue terminals catch the wind, so terminal position matters more than usual. And the water here is genuinely hard, which shortens the life of a combi's plate heat exchanger — a scale reducer is seventy-five pounds and we suggest it in the quote.

Chesterfield questions
Next working day installation is available in Chesterfield wherever we have an engineer free, and most jobs go in inside a week. You pick the date yourself on screen rather than waiting for a callback, and the calendar only offers days we currently have an engineer for.
If you have no heating and no hot water at all, tell us on the phone. We hold capacity back for that and will get to you sooner.
We cover Chesterfield with our own Gas Safe registered engineers in our own vans. We are not a lead site and we do not sell your details to a local firm. That is precisely why our coverage area is twelve postcode areas rather than the whole country.
It is hard. We would suggest an in-line scale reducer at seventy-five pounds to protect the heat exchanger.
Yes. Fifteen questions, ninety seconds, and a real number you can buy at. Every answer you gave is printed next to the price so you can see exactly what it assumes.
The only two things we cannot price from a questionnaire are asbestos and scaffolding. Both are excluded in writing and both come with a full refund rather than a surprise bill.
Fifteen questions and a real fixed number. If we cannot reach your postcode you will know on screen one.
