Chemical flushPlus inhibitor, so the water going back in is not the water that came out.

Carbon monoxide alarmFitted to Building Regulations. A ten-year sealed battery, so you can forget it.

Programmable thermostatFitted and paired before we leave. Keeping a smart one instead costs nothing.

New condensate pipeworkRun properly and lagged where it needs to be, so it does not freeze in January.

Three things, and only three.

Every fixed-price boiler company in the country excludes these. Most of them do it on page four of the terms. We have put it on the homepage, on this page and inside the quote itself — because a fixed price that falls over on the day is not a fixed price, it is a deposit trap.

Scaffolding or powered accessOnly if the flue genuinely cannot be reached safely from a ladder. It is rare. We tell you the cost before anything is ordered, and you can cancel for a full refund instead.

Asbestos testing or removalA licensed activity we do not undertake. If we find it we stop, and you get every penny back rather than a revised invoice while your heating is in pieces.

Plastering, tiling and decoratingWhen a cylinder comes out you get the cupboard back with pipes capped and a floor that needs finishing. We say so before you buy, because it is the most common complaint in this trade.

If either of the first two turns up on your job you get a full refund and no argument. We would genuinely rather lose the work than have that conversation in your kitchen.

The parts nobody else itemises

Magnetic system filterPlumbed into the return so iron never reaches the heat exchanger. Included as standard, because a warranty without one is usually void.

Programmable thermostatIn every price, fitted and paired before we leave. Keeping your own smart stat instead costs nothing.

Radiator and TRVA thermostatic valve on the flow side, a lockshield on the return. Forty-two pounds a valve if you want them adding.

Horizontal and vertical fluesOut through a wall, or up through the roof. One metre horizontal is in every price; anything else is a visible line on your quote.

The guarantees

Manufacturer warranty. Ten or twelve years depending on the boiler, parts and labour, registered by us on the day of fitting. You do not have to post a card or remember a website.

Our workmanship guarantee. 2 years on everything we did. If a joint we made weeps in month eighteen, we come back and it costs you nothing. The national online sellers offer twelve months. We think that says something about how long they expect to be around.

Price promise. If you find a like-for-like fixed price cheaper, from a Gas Safe registered installer, we will beat it by £50.

Fitting promise. Installed as soon as the next working day where we have an engineer free. Most jobs go in within a week.
