How it works
Seven steps. You do three of them, and none take longer than ninety seconds.
Start nowWe timed it. Fifteen questions, one per screen, no typing except your postcode. The slowest part is walking round counting your radiators — and you can guess a band if you would rather not.
The very first thing we ask, and deliberately so. We only fit where we have our own engineers. If we cannot reach you, you find out on screen one rather than after fifteen questions and a phone call.
What boiler you have now, whether it is on the wall or the floor, where the flue goes, how far it is from an outside wall, how many baths and separate showers you have, and how many radiators. Nothing requiring a torch or a ladder.
We show a good, a better and a best — sized for your home, not for our margin. Underneath, every answer you gave is printed out. If one of them is wrong, change it and the price changes with it.
A power flush if your system is sludged. A scale reducer if you are in a hard water area. A smart thermostat if you want one. Nothing is pre-ticked, and skipping all of it does not change your price.
As soon as the next working day where we have someone free, and usually inside a week — you choose which, on screen, rather than waiting for a callback. You get the engineer's name before the day, not a four-hour window and a shrug.
After you have booked, we text a link and ask for a photo of the boiler, the flue outside and the gas meter. Takes a minute. This is how the price stays fixed without anyone coming round beforehand.
Usually a single day for a swap, two for a conversion. Old boiler taken away and recycled, system flushed, filter fitted, thermostat paired, floor left as we found it.
Your Gas Safe certificate is issued before the engineer leaves, Building Control is notified for you, and the manufacturer warranty is registered on the day so you never have to remember it.
Our workmanship guarantee runs for two years from that date. If a joint we made weeps in month eighteen, we come back and it costs you nothing.
The traditional way to buy a boiler is to invite three strangers into your house, be quoted three wildly different numbers, and have no way of telling which is fair. The survey is not really there to measure anything. It is there to get a salesperson into your kitchen.
We think the survey is the problem, not the solution. A boiler swap is a repeatable job. The handful of things that genuinely change the cost are things you can tell us in ninety seconds. So we ask those, price them properly, and carry the risk ourselves — because carrying it is cheaper than sending someone round to eliminate it.
It runs out at asbestos and at scaffolding. Neither can be assessed from a questionnaire and neither is safe to guess at. Both are excluded in writing, both are rare, and if either turns up we refund you in full rather than handing you a revised invoice while your heating is in pieces.
The honest version: a fixed price without a survey is not magic. It is us taking a risk that a surveyor would otherwise price out of. On the awkward jobs we lose a little. On the straightforward ones we do fine. Across a year it works, and you get a number you can trust on the day you ask for it.
