Why these pages exist

Most people buying a boiler have three or four specific questions and no way to get a straight answer to them. Ask an installer and you get a quote. Ask the internet and you get an article written to sell you a power flush.

These are written by the people who do the work, and they include the parts that cost us money — that most systems do not need a power flush, that a scale reducer is pointless in Sheffield, that a combi will disappoint you if two bathrooms get used at once. We would rather you knew.
